Hi! It was great meeting you in person.

I’d love to tell you more about my book…

The Hands That Treat is a paranormal romance that feels like the cult movie, Practical Magic, but set in a spell-binding, hurricane-drunk New Orleans.

Ophelia Oubre has always been the strong one. The dependable older sister. The woman who holds everything together.

But when her grandmother reveals the truth about their family legacy, Ophelia’s world cracks open. She is the next Traiteur, a Cajun healer with the power to mend the body… and maybe the soul.

As Ophelia steps into her magic, the supernatural underworld of New Orleans begins to reveal itself. But just as quickly as wonder appears, darkness follows. A serial killer is stalking the city, leaving cryptic messages written in blood, and somehow Ophelia is connected to every crime scene.

The only person she can trust might be the one man she never saw coming— a broody doctor with secrets of his own. He becomes her unlikely partner in the search for answers, and what begins as friendship, quickly ignites into something deeper.

Because as the killer closes in, Ophelia must uncover the truth about her powers and her past. Together they dive into the magical realm of the Crescent City, chasing answers and trying to stop a killer.

But the closer they get to the truth, the more dangerous their attraction becomes.

And in a city built on secrets, love might be the most powerful magic of all.

What readers are saying...

The Hands That Treat is everything I didn’t know I needed—magic, murder, and a slow-burn, spicy friends-to-lovers romance set in a steamy, mystical New Orleans.

The romance is slow, simmering, and oh-so-hot, while the serial killer mystery keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

This book is addictive, magical, and full of heart. I devoured it in one sitting!

I absolutely tore through The Hands That Treat.

This book really took me through the full range of emotions - at times I was laughing, crying, and on the edge of my seat.

This book was hot. The MMC had me swooning at a few points. If you like friends-to-lovers with a side of mystery and magic, this book is perfect for you. I already miss reading this book, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

The book brought me on a journey with Ophelia as she navigates this new part of her life as a traiteur. It had me trying to figure out how all the murders were connected and if her or her friends abilities could solve who the serial killer is and why. I liked how the book showed the power of family and friendship. Jo is a badass and so is E.

Overall I enjoyed this book! The ending does make me wonder if there is going to be a sequel since I need to know who the [SPOILER] is and what is going to happen next.
